Paul Broadhead steps down as AHIPP Deputy Director General
The Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPP) has announced that Deputy Director General, Paul Broadhead will leave the organisation in October.
Paul was appointed in March 2006 and leaves AHIPP to take up a new role as Head of Mortgage Policy at the Building Societies Association (BSA).
Mike Ockenden, Director General AHIPP said ‘Paul has played a full part in ensuring that HIPs have been rolled out seamlessly and effectively for consumers. He leaves the industry in a strong position to deliver the benefits of HIPs to the buying and selling process, particularly with his work on the ‘exchange ready’ pack. From a personal perspective I would like to thank Paul for all the hard work he has put in and the support he has provided me over the last 2 years or so.’
Paul Broadhead said ‘After 2 and a half years as Deputy Director General at AHIPP, it is gratifying that HIPs are rolled out across all properties and the government are showing strong signs of improving the content of packs for consumers. It is the right time for me to seek a fresh challenge. I remain a strong advocate of HIPs and the way they reform the process and I hope that the government continue to enhance the content through the provision of environmental information and a condition report.’
Broadhead concluded ‘I would like to thank Mike Ockenden and the AHIPP members for their unwavering support over the last couple of years and wish them well for the future’
